There will be a Rheumatology seminar scheduled for Wednesday, April 12 in the Goldman International Conference Room at the Feinstein Institute for Medical Research. Our guest speaker will be Gregg Silverman, MD, professor of Medicine and Pathology and associate director in the Division of Rheumatology at the New York University School of Medicine. Dr. Silverman will be presenting “Lupus and the Microbiome.”
LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this session, participants should be able to:
- Identify the physiological and developmental roles of the microbiome
- Assess the implications for the development of dysbiosis
- Review the data that implicate transmissible agent(s) in Lupus pathogenesis and the recently identified candidates in the microbiome
