Northwell scientists, physicians and educators have teamed up with LuminAID to raise money in an effort to “Light Up Puerto Rico”. This event will include details on the fundraising campaign, a presentation by Dr. Santiago-Schwarz on her personal experience with Hurricane Maria and an opportunity for people to donate to the cause. The support gained at this event will aid towards the goal of providing 500 lamps to Puerto Ricans in remote shorelines and mountain areas by mid-December.
